Smart Mulch For Sale
Raleigh, N.C.
(double-ground brown mulch)
Reasons for using mulch:
We Sell Smart Mulch! Our Mulch Is So Smart It Makes Your Water Smart! Our Mulch Directly Delivers Water To The Roots Of Your Plants, Where Its Needed Most. With No Waste Or Runoff!
Mulch minimizes evaporation, reduces weed growth, slows erosion and helps prevent soil temperature fluctuations. Organic mulch such as wood chips or bark is best, and although this mulch will decompose slowly over time, it will improve the soil by adding nutrients. The use of landscape fabric is not recommended. Fabric will cause organic mulch to slide, and prevent air and water from filtering into the soil. Runoff will be increased. Inorganic mulch, such as rock, should be used sparingly. Surrounding a home with rock will increase the temperatures, making the environment too warm for plants and people.

Here are some testimonials;
...been in contact with the US CC and I am glad to hear you test and bring attention to this issue. Like I stated, until I read an article in Mother Earth News I had never heard of this. I have been gardening for 20 years steady, and never read about it anywhere. DOW has done a good job of keeping this under wraps. It is clearly still a big problem, as I am sure I am not the only one to get this manure - just the only one who knew what it was. I had a State agronomist confirm what it is. Had I not read about this I would have just suffered trying to figure out the problem, as the symptoms are not stated in any of my many organic gardening books. Even the master gardeners did not know about this.! Thanks!....
| ...Hello, as a recipient of DOW herbicide loaded manure, which has ruined my garden, I was both excited and sad to read your listing. I didn't know this herbicide existed until two weeks AFTER the manure was spread on my field. I read everything for a month or so back in Jan and Feb and no one mentioned it whatsoever.....'growth inhibiting herbicides', plus DUpont just came out with another one very recently to add to the list of these evil chemicals.
